My wife, Diane and I just returned from a much needed vacation. We actually cancelled the vacation at first, thinking we needed to keep pushing forward towards goals. We're both not quite sure what happened, but - - - aha!!! - - we ended up taking time off.
It is good to put the brakes and be in the moment- - - to let go of the “monkey mind” (a busy mind running from one thought to another). We found it took energy just to slow down!
We actually had to pay attention to the fact that there was nothing urgent going on and notice that there is a huge difference between something “urgent” and something “important”. Really taking-in the essence of a beautiful sunset. Learning to appreciate the present moment, the “now”, this is truly an untapped treasure.
We encourage YOU to take some time to yourself! Spring Break is coming up quickly, plan on time off. And beyond that - plan on being MINDFUL each and every day - plan on Enjoying each moment life brings your way, good and not so good. Be refreshed and experience LIFE from another perspective.
