May is a wonderful month, the flowers are blooming, the weather is getting very warm, almost uncomfortably warm in the afternoons.  We had flooding two weeks ago, and a cold front last week and it was so nice!  It would be nice to have a cold front like this every week during the summer.  I find it amazing that the cooler weather is very welcomed when it is getting uncomfortably hot outside, then in the winter we welcome uncharacteristically warm days.

What does all this mean?  I'm not 100% sure, but I believe these special days are God's reminders --  that even though we have to go through discomforts and pains at times -- He provides an occasional relief to let us know He cares.  Scriptures say we should cast our cares upon God, because He cares for us.  That means, God knows what excessive stress (cares) can do to our minds and bodies.  He wants us to be free of our burdens so burdens and worries don't take up space in our heads.  We are freed up to do more for Him and for ourselves if we are not encumbered.

Stress levels are at all time highs (with the exception of a country at war) here, mostly because of the ever-changing economical situations.  People are having to work more hours and sometimes more than one job.  Credit has been filling in the gaps left by inflation rising more than pay, which leads to high debt and more stress!
Excessive stress is unhealthy.  Cortisol, a needed steriod that our bodies make too much of during stressful times, can cause health problems such as weight gain.  Try to diet to lose weight and if your cortisol is high, no weight will be lost.

We encourage a balanced lifestyle, eating right, enough sleep and regular exercise.  We can help you to well-being if stress has taken a toll on you.  Pain can prevent sleep and exercise, let us help relieve it.  For extra weight, the Contour Light can help you lose inches.   For relieving stress, come to our "Unlocking Limiting Beliefs" on May 10th at our office, 719 Sawdust Road in the Woodlands, Suite 107.   Brandy Deutsch will be presenting and we will have snacks.  It all starts at 6:30 p.m.  We hope you will join us!
